Reggae superstar Alaine added to 'Give Africa Hope' events to benefit famine relief efforts in the Horn of Africa
Dallas,
Texas: Award winning singer/songwriter/producer Alaine has been added
to the already stellar lineup of Gramps Morgan, Peetah Morgan, J Boog
and Anthony David, all scheduled to perform at the Give Africa
Hope benefit events slated for September 23, & 24, 2011 in Dallas,
Texas.
Alaine, who performed for a crowd of over 12,000 fans in Nairobi, Kenya back in November of 2010 did not have to be persuaded;
“I
have never felt so much love from fans and a continent that I had only
previously read about and heard stories from others. I really want to
help as much as I can and being part of the benefit concerts in Dallas
is definitely a good start”, says Alaine.
The
reggae songstress whose music is a mix of timeless reggae love songs,
a little dance hall and a sweet R&B sound has a cult like following
among Africans both on the continent and in the Diaspora. She has just
released her latest single “Bye Bye Bye” on the “Cardiac Strings
Riddim”.
